Legal & Organizational Background
Nepal Forest Products Industry Business Federation (FenFIT), Koshi Province is an institution officially registered under the Koshi Province Ministry of Tourism, Forest and Environment. It acts as an umbrella organization representing and protecting the rights and commercial interests of forestry entrepreneurs across all 14 districts of Koshi Province. The federation represents thousands of small, medium, and large scale enterprises engaged in timber trade, saw milling, furniture crafting, plywood manufacturing, herbal processing, and non-timber forest products. It coordinates regularly with the central federation and utilizes its district chapters to escalate local business hurdles to the provincial and federal authorities.
Provincial & District Chapters
Under our federation, there are district-level committees active in all 14 districts of Koshi Province: Morang, Sunsari, Jhapa, Ilam, Panchthar, Taplejung, Dhankuta, Bhojpur, Terhathum, Sankhuwasabha, Solukhumbu, Khotang, Okhaldhunga, and Udayapur. The president of each district chapter serves as an ex-officio member or representative in the provincial executive committee. This provincial committee works continuously to ease timber supply for local entrepreneurs, streamline public auction procedures, and transfer modern technology in wood processing and craftsmanship.
